A humble person doesn’t demand much (vaatia)

Vaatia means “to demand”. Vaatimus is “a demand”.

Things can be demanding also in asbtract sense “Tehtävä oli vaativa / the task was demanding”.

A person who doesn’t demand much is modest or humble, “vaatimaton”.

Derivations and etymologies: rinta

Rinta is another bodypart: chest. Also, a (female) breast.

Rinnalla means “by side” (literally “on the chest”). Ystävät pysyvät rinnallasi koko elämän. / Friends stay by your side your whole life.

Rinnakkain means “side by side”. For example “kilpailijat juoksivat rinnakkain / the competitors ran side by side”. If you have two concepts side by side, you have rinnastus, a comparison.

And if you have many soldiers side by side, you have a (battle)front: rintama.
